This tour focuses on some of the major national parks of Uganda that is Murchison Falls National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kibale Forest National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Lake Mburo National Park. Among the attractions are the big five mammals which are the Gorillas and Chimpanzees.

Upon your arrival in Uganda you will be met by our representative and driver guide at Entebbe International Airport who will after transfer you to your accommodation in Entebbe. Your Safari guide will guide you through how the itinerary will be done. After breakfast you will depart for the Murchison Falls National Park. On your way you may have brief stops for photography and to purchase fresh fruits from roadside markets and also beautiful and different vegetation types before you reach the park you will take a diversion to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary the only home to 32 southern white rhinos. You will have the opportunity to track the rhinos at a close distance. After Breakfast you will head to the park with its beautiful landscape for a morning game drive that will give you an opportunity to view a wide range of Elephants, Buffaloes, Giraffes, Ugandan kobs, lions, leopards which will be looking for a morning hunt, view different bird species among others After lunch you will take a boat cruise upstream to the bottom of the falls. During the cruise you will view the different bird species like African Jacana, saddle bellied stork, open billed stork Giant kingfisher among others. At the bottom of the falls you will disembark from the boat and take a guided tour to the top of the falls where you will enjoy the spectacular view of the falls passing through the narrow paths between rocks. After that you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. After Breakfast, you will depart from the lodge for a transfer to Kibale National Park which is a popular destination for tourists to track the Chimpanzees in Uganda. The journey will lead you through a distinctive Ugandan countryside with local homesteads and tea plantations. You may stop for landscape photography. You will arrive in kibale in the evening hours. After Breakfast, you will be transferred to Kanyachu visitor’s center for briefing about the rules and regulations to follow during trekking. During the Trekking you will be able to view other primate species such as black and white colobus monkeys, grey cheeked mangabey, l’hoest monkeys, view different tree species, plants, and bird species among others. You will have an hour to spend with the chimpanzees once they are found in their natural habitat which will give you an opportunity to watch them feed, breastfeed, pay, hunt, mate, fight, rest, learn about their habits, behaviors, take photos and record the breathtaking moments. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Bigodi wetlands for swamp walk and birding experience. You may encounter different bird species including the rare Gonolek that maybe spotted. You will start this day with early morning game drive in the park, looking for different animal and bird species. This park hosts a variety of wildlife that includes buffaloes, kobs, and elephants, Waterbacks, as well as different bird species. Later in the afternoon, you will go for a boat cruise after your lunch. The boat cruise at the Kazinga channel takes you through possibly the highest concentration of hippos, crocodile and different bird species. You will also see many elephants and buffaloes drinking at the water’s edges. You will return to the lodge afterwards. You will check out of your accommodation after breakfast to be transferred to Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National park for a game drive on your way to Bwindi impenetrable national park. This region is most famous for tree climbing lions and conspicuous wildlife viewing. You will be led by an experienced ranger guide who will assist you in the search for the tree climbing lions, more animals and birds. The ranger will also give you a lot of information about the respective animals and the park. Later in the afternoon you will proceed to Bwindi impenetrable national park; the home of mountain Gorillas. The journey will lead you through the mountainous region with numerous photography opportunities. After breakfast, you will be accompanied by the guide to the park headquarters for the briefing at 08:00hrs well equipped with your packed lunch. You will then be divided into groups depending on the Gorilla family you have been allocated to track, thereafter proceed in to the forest and start your Gorilla trekking experience following the trails in the forest. During the Gorilla trekking experience, you may also encounter other different primate species as well as a variety of bird species. You will have one hour to observe, photograph and record the giant and gentle Gorillas. This is truly a rewarding experience you will live to remember. After tracking the Gorillas, you will return to your accommodation to relax or you might enjoy any other optional activities around Bwindi. This day, you will be transferred to Lake Mburo national park passing via the beautiful Kigezi highlands. You will have a stopover for lunch at Mbarara town; thereafter proceed into the park for a sunset game drive. Lake Mburo national park is the smallest of Uganda’s savannah national parks. It is underlain by ancient Precambrian metamorphic rocks which date back more than 500 million years. It is home to 350 bird species as well as zebra, impala, eland, buffalo, oribi, Defassa waterbuck, leopard, hippo, hyena, topi and reedbuck. Lake Mburo forms part of a 50km-long wetland system linked by a swamp. Five of these lakes lie within the park’s borders. Once covered by open savanna, Lake Mburo National Park now contains much woodland as there are no elephants to tame the vegetation. Giraffes have been recently translocated into the park. Early morning you will head to the park for a nature walk which will give you an opportunity of experiencing the fresh breath, the vegetation the eco system the bird species. You will be in the company of guards and ranger guides for better sightings. You will return to the lodge to refresh and have breakfast. You will then check out of the lodge and start your journey to Entebbe airport. Upon arrival at the airport, you will check in for your outbound flight to your next destination.
